The first ever Worldwide Property Summit (全球顶级地产风华鉴赏会) hosted by Taiwan Sotheby’s International Realty was held at the Primasia Conference and Business Center in Taipei, Taiwan, on 21 and 22 September 2018.
At the Summit, close to 20 Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates showcased a wide range of highly sought-after properties from all around the world. With 15 countries and territories across Asia, Europe, America and the Oceania markets represented, it was truly a global exhibition that caters to international investors with different preferences. Some of the cities featured at the event included New York, London, Milan, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
One of the highlights of the event was the truly exceptional offering was a property named “Castle in the Sky” and listed by Sotheby’s International Realty, East Side Manhattan brokerage. Priced at US$50 million, the 6,050 sq ft opulent corner duplex penthouse atop the legendary Plaza Residences with a view of New York’s famous Central Park was the most expensive property at the event.
Dr Paul Boldy, Senior Advisor to Taiwan Sotheby’s International Realty, said at the start of the event that the buying power of the global Chinese market is still on an increasing trend and that they see untapped potential of this segment.
Apart from such seminars on the real estate trends of each city, there were also talks on asset management, financial planning, overseas investment opportunities as well as tax-related matters by Ernst & Young. Visitors also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in different luxury homes through the use of virtual reality.
As a fellow affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty, List Sotheby’s International Realty occupied a large share of the exhibition real estate by having all the different cities’ offices working together to present a unified and cohesive List Sotheby’s International Realty brand image to potential buyers at the event.
From the Singapore office, Mr Lewis Cha, Executive Director, Agency and Project Marketing; together with Ms Veniz Kwong, Head of Project Marketing, led a team of 10 Relationship Managers and showcased two luxurious Singapore properties – TwentyOne Angullia Park and Amber Skye – at the exhibition.
They were joined by representatives from CS Land, the developer of the two properties, which offer distinctively unique propositions. For those who enjoy the buzz of city living and staying in the vicinity of the popular Orchard Road shopping belt, TwentyOne Angullia Park would be the perfect home, while those seeking to live near the East Coast Park to have a more idyllic lifestyle, living in Amber Skye would be a most ideal choice.
Overall, the exhibition was well attended and response by visitors was very positive. List Sotheby’s International Realty’s team of Relationship Managers were busy throughout both days attending to visitors’ enquiries.
Mr Lewis Cha said: “As one of the fastest emerging markets, buyers from both China and Taiwan present a huge opportunity for real estate companies. The Worldwide Property Summit serves as a platform to introduce our quality properties to potential home buyers from these markets. It also allowed us to learn and gain good insights into the markets of the different cities such as those in Europe and Australia.”
