Two residential sites and one white site were released for sale under the second half 2018 Government Land Sales (GLS) programme, which could yield a total of 2,000 homes and 540 hotel rooms. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) launched a plot of land at Kampong Java Road for sale, while the Housing & Development Board (HDB) launched an executive condominium site for sale. Both were launched under the Confirmed List and both tenders will close on 15 January 2019.
The Kampong Java Road site is the first private housing housing land plot to be launched since the unit size guideline revisions by the URA. Based on its site area of 11,643.3 sqm and maximum permissible gross floor area (GFA) of 32,602 sqm, the site can accommodate around 435 housing units. The Tampines Avenue 10 site area is 24,938.7 sqm and, with a GFA of 69,829 sqm, it can accommodate an estimated 695 units.
In addition, URA released a White site for a mixed-use development at Marina View for application under the Reserve List. The White site will accommodate around 540 hotel rooms, complemented by supporting retail and food and beverage outlets, as well as an estimated 905 housing units. The land parcel has an area of 7,817.6 sqm, with an underground space of 18 sqm. The maximum permissible GFA is 101,629 sqm.
