- Co-working space by IWG opened at Plus Building in Raffles Place
Co-working space provider IWG has opened a new centre in CapitaLand’s Plus Building at 20 Cecil Street in Raffles Place. Operating under the Regus brand, the 22,000 sq ft co-working space spreads over two floors in the 28-storey building. This is the 16th centre under the brand in Singapore.
- The Great Room opened its 5th centre at Afro-Asia Building
The Great Room opened a 37,000 sq ft space in the newly completed Afro-Asia Building located at the junction of Robinson Road and McCallum Street. With 600 workspaces occupying three levels from the 6th storey to 8th storey, The Great Room takes up about 26% of the floor area at Afro-Asia Building and is its anchor tenant. According to Jaelle Ang, co-founder and CEO of The Great Room, over 50% the premium office space is already leased.
- Amazon’s new corporate office is now at Asia Square
Asia Square’s new anchor tenant, Amazon, has recently opened its 100,000 sq ft corporate office in the development. As part of its local expansion plans, the new office spans three floors and will house over 30 teams and up to 700 employees from Amazon’s consumer business and corporate functions. The office contains a product showcase area, 50 breakout areas for informal discussions and brainstorming and 5 large meeting rooms with video-conferencing capabilities. There are also 33 quiet rooms, 12 phone booths and 2 training rooms which can double up as physical town hall event spaces.
